Heya... I thought it might be a good idea to post what and where people hang on each night of the week. To help people find new places to hang and share good experiences.
Go ahead and post what you do when you go out and on what day. Like
Perversion on Thursdays...
Velvet on Sundays (is this even still open?)

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 12:00 AMWell you *did* ask for it...
All calendars aside, I'm interested in hearing what peoples' preferences are... On Thursdays I occasionally hit Perversion, Miss Kitty's (while not goth) is always fun and bizarre on a Friday night... On Saturdays Dungeon and Bar Sinister are good, though I haven't been to either in a while.

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Mon, April 12, 2004 - 11:57 PMAs I live in san Diego I dont get up there all that much, but I do love Bar Sinister, and I would love to go to Miss Kitty's. I have a feeling I will like it. I haven't been for years, but Das Bunker was cool way back when, I think it probably hasn't changed that much. (Correct me if I am wrong). I miss Kontrol Faktory. -

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Tue, April 13, 2004 - 8:11 AMMiss Kittys is a staple for me every Friday night.
It's prolly the only thing that gets me through the stressful work week.
Das Bunker has actually changed in the last year, but for the better. It is in a much larger, much nicer location.
I have not been since the new location (I'm at Kittys) but my roommate is there every other Friday and its the only club he bothers going to anymore.
I too miss Kontrol Faktory :(
Though now I often wonder how I ever made it to work on Tuesday mornings back then-ah the effects of age :) -

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Tue, April 13, 2004 - 4:27 PMAge is evil. Even though people like Trilo seem to be able to party like rock stars and then make it to work by 7am or something insane like that.
I agree, back in the way back I used to hit the Kontrol Faktory and that was tons of fun. In the vein of a Terminator or other harder SF type clubs. I haven't seen anything with that sort of vibe in LA in a long time.
When was the last time anyone went to Velvet?

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Sat, April 17, 2004 - 2:10 AMI like goth clubs but get tired that I can't crawl around or lay down on the ground. There is a alternative night club for dancers that seconds as a yoga studio during the day. It's called Dance home in Santa Monica. You can do whatever the hell you want to here. Live world/electronica music on Saturdays, pre-recorded music on Tuesdays and Fridays. Contact improv on Sunday. (to actually interact with people). -

Sat, April 17, 2004 - 4:19 PMThat sounds really interesting.. wow. Got any more info? Is there a flyer or listing anywhere? Is it private? -

Re: Where and What on Each Night of the Week
Thu, April 22, 2004 - 10:40 AMhmmmm.... well, if you take the 10 freeway and get off at 5th street, make a right and toodle on down to Santa Monica Blvd. Then, I believe you make a right turn, and it'll be on the right side of the street, between 5th and 6th street. At any rate, the address is 522 Santa Monica Blvd., and it is right above Radio Shack. There's just a little door for the entrance, because you actually have to walk upstairs to get to it. You'll see fliers outside about power yoga and dance home.
I think it's probably private. It's nothing like a big, dark club setting with people in their corsets and high heel boots. People wear comfortable stuff, exercise clothes (you get down on the ground, ya know). You're required to take off your shoes when you get in so you don't scuff or dirty the dance floor, except with your stinky feet. It's never very full when I go there (I hear more people come on Tuesday). I like the scarcity of people since it gives me more space to dance. Also, those that do come are really nice.
And it's only 5 bucks.
I love dance home!
